Training

As part of our role in helping you to "make safety simple," SRI offers on-site training in CPR and First Aid (including bloodborne pathogen training). Training can be customized to your specific workplace needs. Contact Glenna Cook for more
information and to schedule your on-site training sessions.

CPR
A 4-hour class for up to 10 students in basic life support for adults, children, and infants. The class meets OSHA requirements. Class participants will be CPR-certified for 2 years.

Standard First Aid
A 4-hour training class for up to 10 students in basic first aid, including workplace issues relating to bloodborne pathogens and universal precautions. The class meets OSHA requirements. Participants will receive 3-year certification in First Aid.

HAZMAT and Bio-terrorism
SRI can advise local communities and emergency response teams as they develop federally-mandated Homeland Security plans to prepare for a possible bio-terrorism event.

  • Selection of PPE, including SCBAs and respiratory protection
  • Selection of specialized detection equipment
  • Specialized shelters, including decontamination and police crime scene unit shelters
  • Assistance in writing bio-terrorism response plans
  • Coordination of planning between various community emergency responders.

Gas Detection and Monitoring/Confined Space Entry
SRI has the expertise and equipment to help companies with these specialized safety issues.

  • Equipment rental - ISC TMX412, tripods, retractable lifelines, and air monitors are available for short or long-term rental.
  • Training - We provide on-site training in the proper use of these products.
  • On-site calibration - Proper calibration is essential if detection and monitoring equipment is to provide true protection. SRI provides on-site calibration of all gas detection equipment.
